Foundation for Education awards $19,662 for local school projects

12 Foundation Mini-Grants and 1 Impact Grant are awarded to:

$806 to Leslie Bjelde and Lake Agassiz Elementary, for Building Phonological Awareness Skills through Literacy Centers.

$275 to Crystal Jackson, Kim Bailey and Debbi Osowski and Grand Forks Central High School , for Lunch Seminars.

$1075 to Scott Berge, Mike Bisenius, Joe Myszkowski, Rob Owens, Laurie Crummy and Bobbi Zahjradka and Red River High School, for Bison Hide for Cross curriculum Use.

$1,216 to Nancy Greenwood and Grand Forks Central High School , for The Great Frame Up.

$750 to Nadine Carriere, and West Elementary, for Health Manipulatives.

$500 to Terry Swenson and ArtWise, to help the artist in the classroom program.

$800 to Joan Huus and Viking Elementary School , for Hundreds of Books in Hand.

$2400 to Sara Streeter and Ben Franklin Elementary School , for “Just Right” Learning Materials for Primary Reading Students.

$600 to Barb Rood and Phoenix Elementary for Kindergarten Literacy Centers.

$620 to Mike Bisenius and Don Croeker and Red River High School , for Using modern geography through technology.

$620 to Kristie Sullivan and Grand Forks Central and Red River Schools , for an InFocus projector.

$2500 CF Industry Grant was awarded to Scott Johnson and the  4^th grade classes to attend the Water Festival and Experience Agriculture Project.

This spring’s Impact Grant was awarded to

$7,500 to Judith Konerza and Mary Lien, for the Kindergarten Connection project.
